CURTIS TAPPENDEN
Curtis is an author & illustrator who has for the past 20 years been drawing for magazines, books, advertising, newspapers & packaging. He is also part of the design team at The Mail On Sunday newspaper, in London. In 1998, he scaled the work up by designing and making the sets for a national touring play about the life of Frankie Howerd, entitled ‘Titter Not!’ His watercolours are frequently exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the country, and many paintings are in international collections.
For the past six years he has been writing books, penning for the national art press and The Mail On Sunday travel section, and is currently working on his 17th book title. Curtis also lectures in National Diploma Art & Design and Creative Writing at the University College For The Creative Arts in Kent, visits art clubs around the country with his unconventional presentations and is a performance poet and painter. His appearance in a show a few years ago with Aussie comedian and Neighbours actor, Mark Little, went down a storm- quite literally.
